Over the Rainbow Bridge:
Talia:
CH Barren Hills Sunny X CH Tung’s Miss Darby Doll
Talia was my first show Beagle. She was precious in every way and for her entire life. I
don’t think she ever did anything wrong. She was my first Beagle champion and
brought so much excitement to me. Talia sat on my lap as a baby and we watched the
Westminster Kennel Club Dog show together one February when BIS BISS Windkist A
Walk In The Park (Parker) won the 15” Beagle BOV. I knew little, but I said to Talia,
“One day he is going to be your husband.” He was! That mating produced the
outstanding litter of Trystan, Taylor, and Tucker and was the foundation of a very
successful breeding program. A subsequent repeat breeding produced Chance, a good
champion and sire in is own right. Talia was the perfect house dog and will always be
missed.

CH Everwind’s Taylor Maid To Fit:
BIS BISS GCH Windkist A Walk In The Park
X CH Tung’s Everwind Talia
This lovely 13” lemon bitch was always a pleasure to have around. She was a really
good show dog as well. (One well-known and respected Beagle judge told me she was
the most drop-dead gorgeous Beagle bitch he’d ever seen.) When I was new to the
Beagle ring, and not long after we had begun showing, she took me to a Group 2. She
couldn’t seem to put a foot out of place and was so easy to show! She was a great
house dog and brought me many years of enjoyment just having her around. She also
produced my 13” GCHB Everwind’s Tira’s On My Mind, NA, NAJ, who introduced me to
the agility world which I love! I miss her so.

Trystan:
BIS BISS GCH Windkist A Walk In The Park
X CH Tung’s Everwind Talia
There are not enough words or room to record what this amazing dog did for Everwind Beagles. Not just our breeding program catapulted because of his influence, but he knit lives together and formed a relationship that otherwise never would have been. As a young champion God directed me to give – just give - this wonderful little dog to a friend I’d known only a short time. He had wanted a puppy; I didn’t have any. He couldn’t afford one anyway. As I watched them drive out of my drive on a journey to VT, I asked myself, “What did I just do?”
Trystan spent the rest of his life in the lap of love and wonderful care. Jordan got him back into the show ring and did amazing things with him there. They were inseparable companions from the time they left my home until Trystan’s death shortly before I wrote this. The wounds are still open and deep.
But: God had a plan. That act, that day, resulted in Jordan becoming a part of Everwind Beagles in every sense of the word and is largely responsible for where we are today. I would be lost without him. That act has brought two people together that have bonded in an incredible way and are an ongoing source of encouragement and joy to each other.
Trystan sired our greatest girls, and his legacy lives on in his children, grandchildren, and more. He will always be a part of Everwind and our personal lives. Yes, God had a plan for this amazing Beagle – and for us.
